The Spectrum is an after-school program designed to be accessible to children with autism. Children with autism from the surrounding community come to Haverford once a week and our student interns design activities for them.
The Spectrum is every Thursday from 5-6:30 and we have four 6 week sessions throughout the school year. Every week, a group of Haveford student interns design activities for the kids. Spectrum is a space where kids with autism can come to have fun and improve their social skills. Our goal is to create an environment where children with autism can interact in a non-classroom setting so they can make friends and enjoy themselves without outside pressure. We partner with Specta Support Services, LLC an outside organization, but sessions of Spectrum are mostly run by Haverford students. Questions?
